This is an amazing article posted on another blog - a 1959 op-ed on the subject of miscegenation (mixed-race marriage). I never realised how much the anti-interracial marriage and anti-gay marriage camps had in common. It's eerie. Check it out:

That article has me totally confused! Same sex marriage is mentioned in the first paragraph?
Amazing how bigotry evolves; amazing how it all looks and sounds the same.
I don't think it does evolve - I think it just finds new targets. Like a virus, it adapts ever so slightly to the new victim but essentially remains the same.
